I'm often asked what goes into a real estate postcard design. Before you can design a postcard, you need an idea worth designing around. In the postcard book, I show you a variety of design techniques that, over the years, have been proven to increase response rates.

While postcard design varies a great deal, the most successful designs usually have a few things in common. Here are a few of those common ingredients to a successful postcard design. (Again, this is just a taste of what you'll get in the postcard book.)

  • A real estate postcard's design is secondary to its message. Nobody will react based on the design alone, but they will react to the postcard's message. So the design should support the message.

  • In postcard marketing, simplicity rules. A clean and simple postcard design with a powerful message will usually outperform an intricate design.

  • By itself, design does not add any value to your real estate postcard. It can make the postcard look nice, but it won't add value. Value comes from other things, all of them fully described in the postcard book.
